Monemvessia is an island out in the middle of no where but it has some really cool castle ruins it has two levels the lower one was for the peasants and people who aren't important. Then the upper level is for people who really are important like kings and nobles. And all around the island are these huge walls. They have one little wall for the lower town that just runs part way around and then they have one for the upper town which goes all the way around and it is really big.
The Lower town is still inhabited but the upper town is just a ghost town but you can go up there and see all the ancient runes and also have a great view!!

Hey Cameron--the kings and queens only THINK they're the only important people, actually everybody's important (but you knew that). It's people with over inflated egos who hog the good stuff for themselves (the castle, the good view, etc.) and leave the rest of us down in the dirt. Maybe if everybody shared a little more, we wouldn't be in the state we are today. Anyway, this is my first blog posting, I just signed up for Google (if I start getting hacked or spammed I'm going to be really po'd). Wanted to wish you a happy birthday on Earth Day (wow! 11 y.o. You're growing up fast), but we're technology kindergartners. But we're learning. Have a great trip and say hi to your folks for us.
